Smashing Pumpkins - Brabanthallen s-Hertogenbo...

Man, this is a hard-hitting song. My favorite band has always been the Smashing Pumpkins. When I first heard this remix of their classic 'Zero', I was astounded.

It's not simply a cut-up, remixed, and re-arranged song, it's all original sounds aside from Billy Corgan's epic guitar riff. Way to go Le Castle Vania!

Starting off with a simple beat and squareful sound, the track develops with a galloping patter. Behind the voice saying 'filterscope', you can hear a deep roaring synth which soon comes to the forefront. It grows and is accompanied by the rain of piano like developments. The decisive galloping beat subsides to the deep dark synth again and it all comes together for one last push.

Mr. Isma-Ae knows how to make some tracks. Oliver and Jerome call this one White Lobster.

Reflexive background gists pave the way for the upcoming insatiable brawl. Leading the way, the nice 'n sandy bassline patters around the beat and then gives way to the simple, smooth, synth sound. It grows and heightens itself backed by the rip of the stringy synths.

Holding, building, then quiet again as the bouncing, pattering bassline takes control. In comes the ringing of the bells, signaling the coming relentlessness.

Quiet release allows for uptake of the whole ensemble for the final punch. A good one in my book, I just love that bouncing bass.

Starting off with a morphing, dreamy piano riff, the track grounds itself with a floor beat and bouncing bass. The dreamy piano creeps back but this time it develops into the melody we all know and love. Bass leaves, beat minimizes, the riff builds, and then BAM! You get the first ear loving drop.

Michael then progresses through peaks and valleys to produce one amazing ensemble of melodic frequencies that please the electronic loving desires inside. Always a pleasure to dance with the movement of the evolving shadows.

Starting off with a blend of  adriving beat, uplifting strings, and matching vocals, the track then pushes you directly into the path of an unrelenting bassline. In comes the synth that calls to you: 'Come hither.'

The first break provides that building love of the strings and vocals that seem to envelop you and bring you up to the next level. Then it all comes together at the first drop. The bubbling bass gives you the pleasure complimented by harmonic strings. A happy and inspiring track, thanks Countparis.
